Body panels for iva

Hi all

Just something I have been thinking about with regards the IVA test and the side panels

Which panels came with the kit originally? I haven't got any of the side panels that would of come with the kit so I will have to make a whole set.....

Do they have to be solid as I have been toying with the idea of canvas/tarpaulin sheeting as an option or 3mm plastic instead of checkerplate/ally.

I can see from the build manual the small panel that's around the steering rack I was going to make this from solid and the rest I have been having a few ideas.....

I can't see any specific rules on this in the IVA book but I will have another look I'm still working out the jargon!

If they do have to be solid is it best to have full panels inside and outside the frame or just the outside covering the box section?

I was thinking the same I couldn't see any specifics it's another one of those grey areas!

It just came to mind as the Exocet either has clear plastic or no panels on some that I have seen but that could be that they were there for iva then removed or not there at any point which doesn't really help not knowing!

I will have a look at the plastic sheet options
