well after thinking it through for the last few days I think the easiest way forward is Vitara based I have a rolling chassis its reasonably tough for ragging round the fields can be road legal and almost any engine and box will fit in, really the only fabricating is the rollcage/frame that bolts onto the original Vitara body mounts

would like it to end up something like this I think

so I have a Vitara chassis I have already shot blasted
and if im going to use a V8 I might as well use a lexus one rather than a rover

not at all I just like making a nice job with what ever I do, im lucky I have space and a reasonable welder

I knocked up a driving simulator the other day ::) ::) ::)

first time I came to use it found I had made a terrible design flaw ::) ::) ::)

yep no cup holder :eek: :eek: :eek:

so into the scrap bin 2 large washers and a bit of rod and the day was saved from being a terrible disaster

well I have an xbox one which all works fine and dandy with the standard controller then I bought a thruster master TX steering wheel and pedals that is x box one compatible, wasent sure if I needed a thing called a connect or Kinect I think I do so I bought one of ebay for the xbox one but the plug on it dosent fit any socket on the xobox abut this time I lose the will to live why is it so difficult lol

Does the thrustmaster not plug straight into the xbox & then go into settings & tell it it is there?

yes thrust master has a lead that has a usb plug on the end this goes into back of xbox and it recognises some of the buttons on the wheel plus it spins the wheel to calibrate it but when I try to play the game turning the wheel has no effect
plus I found and downloaded a manual which mentions the lens of the front of the wheel housing must be able to see the kinnect to function properly
but I cant connect the kinnect

that's similar but later version that dosent require a kinnect I think
