weekend fiddling

well have been fiddling with blitz buggy yesterday put polybushes in top engine steady, took webber carb off and fitted hif44 carb (being lazy never serviced carb first) started buggy up and petrol leaked took carb off and refitted webber, timed it using timing light and took for drive no improvement. today adjusted timing by a old fashion way of loosening dizzy and adjusting until engine sounded like it was running right and then went on a drive buggy has really improved about 150 miles on a mixture of A and B roads were she felt brilliant and even ended up doing 20 ish mile stint along A3M (on a private road was clocked at 80 for a short stint ;) ) so i am very impressed with the way its running long may it continue. filled up with fuel on the way home has worked out to be doing 30ish miles to gallon, roll on wednesday new rear wheel bearings and tracking to be done.
