Re: Freestyle GT Discusion thread

Hi Everyone, been a while I know (Cue Alan with the slacker comments...) Well after no work on this for so long I have decided I should probably put some effort in to getting it a little further along. I'm still yet to knock the old garage down and build the new double garage in its place but I have...

Re: Freestyle GT Discusion thread

Yes has been tooooooo long. Almost a year in fact. The truth is i haven't touched the buggy since i last updated and its still sat in storage as a bare chassis and boxes of parts. This was never going to be a quick project (until its built) and its taken a side step at the moment. At the beginning o...

Re: Freestyle GT Discusion thread

So looks like i may have sorted the shotblasting issue. Spent ages looking at nitromors and chemical paint strippers with people giving mixed reviews. Powdercoating firm in Southampton are going to shotblast the entire chassis for £250. Im more than happy with that as it saves me messing about with ...

Re: Danny's K Series Conversion Project Discussion Thread

Looks great Danny. Only just flicked through the build but really coming together. Looks like you coppied me on the rad and mounting assembly and fan setup. That rad seems to be a good size and cheap as chips as well, i tapped the blank holes and bolted the rad to the frame. It may vibrate free over...

Re: Freestyle GT Discusion thread

Wheels look nice on that :)
I hope i can find someone that can blast it up cheap. At the very worst i might try taking it to the place who originally quoted me for the powdercoating as they where not too bad. It just means hauling the frame about 50 miles or so each way.

Re: Freestyle GT Build

So Monday and tuesday i spent the day stripping down the rest of the frame and getting the engine removed. Didn't take too long as most of the work was already done. I got the brackets welded for the frame for the oil cooler also, plan is to leave this off for the moment and add it at a later date w...

Re: Freestyle GT Discusion thread

That actually is the rad at the front. Its a fiat chinquchento one. Its an intercooler mounted high level at the back. Oil cooler is getting mounted at the back somewhere. Jas

Re: Freestyle GT Discusion thread

Re: Freestyle GT Build

Flippin heck i haven't updated this in nearly 2 years!!!! I have had to put this on hold for a while as building my own house takes up all my spare time, in between working full time and all my other projects i am working through on the side. I also had a bit of a accident while working on the house...

Re: Freestyle GT Discusion thread

Well what can i say. I can't believe its been so long since i last updated ANYTHING. So many thing have happened since i updated last time, most i admit have been in the wrong direction. I really can't see this thing ever getting finished off! Got to the point where i have contemplated selling up so...
