Re: Melvin the Mev Mevster Discussion Thread

The way to get away with scrapping a car without giving the V5 is if you simply cut it up and throw it in the metal bin :D

I think you may struggle now to get an age related plate.

Re: RE: Re: Melvin the Mev Mevster Discussion Thread

I recon you could have sold, doors, rear bumper and calipers on eBay etc. Pretty sure Danny sold all of his MGF and made a profit. With the ST170 I recon eventually all parts will appreciate in value like most fast Fords and much like the classic mini. So it all is down the back of the shed under a...

Re: Sylva Mojo Build Discussion Threads

Yeah that's why I moved them. The pipes are aluminium and seem to bend ok.

They are now somewhere near where I the think they should be.

On a freestyle I melted some wiring that ran along side the fuel line

Re: Sylva Mojo build

I had a day on the mojo yesterday and managed to get the exhaust manifold fitted. I went for studs and bolts although it is that tight I have to take the studs out to get the exhaust out but still. I also noticed that the fuel lines run far too close to the exhaust so I have started to reroute them....

Re: Sylva Mojo build

I literally have done very little except for making a blanking nut for the exhaust. I will try and get a few hours in the garage next week but have quite a lot of other projects on the go at the moment. This mojo is a much bigger project than I anticipated... I am not far away but a lot of little jo...

Re: Phaeton Robin Hood 2B4 Discussion Thread

who knows.

Maybe they have a fair bit of stock for themselves or are rebuilding all the knackered ones?

I tried buying brand new from all sorts of suppliers and nobody could get one.

Re: Phaeton Robin Hood 2B4 Discussion Thread

I have seen what they do, they have a small stock of the 2.0 engines for the factory build Zeros but if you or I want one we would be on back order and when they have a nice long list they place a bulk order, it helps their profit margin. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-FOCUS-MK1-1-8-PETROL-ZETEC-1...

Re: Phaeton Robin Hood 2B4 Discussion Thread

2.0 gets my vote, there are too many reasons why you should fit the bigger engine. Most important it creates a new build thread for us to enjoy. :) 2 litre Zetec engines are at give away prices, you can have one delivered to your door on a pallet for little more than the shipping cost. You will alw...

Re: I went to the darkside...

To be honest it is actually quite quiet. I am leaning now on possibly versys 1000 or maybe even a new royal Enfield. Not planning a euro trip till 2021 so not a major need for anything just yet. May sell the grom in the next few months and buy a dirt bike for winter and then sell that in the summer....
