Re: Hello! I’m new here and building a Suzuki Jimny based buggy
Looks brilliant if a little too clean, don't wait for the sun, my lad was out 4x4ing with his mates a couple of weeks ago, the SJ ripped all the rear suspension off & had to come back on a trailer, the Fourtrak spun all the bottom bearings & had to be towed back by the other Foutrak.

Choles Industrial Estate - 284 the high road - North Weald CM16 EG North Weald.
Others say they might be Unipart from cars from the 70's so that's another avenue you could explore

Re: Melvin the Mev Mevster
Got out today to do a bit, managed to fit the wiring tray, it fits under the dash & hides all the electrics including the ECU, I also intend to invert the fuseboxes so they can be changed from inside the car https://i.ibb.co/JmZg3bx/smart.jpg https://i.ibb.co/S6G16zs/smart.jpg https://i.ibb.co/...

Re: Melvin the Mev Mevster
I'm sure I mentioned up thread that the kit was originally bought by a college, then sold to a guy in Newcastle, VOSA are now stating that I have to provide the invoice/receipt for the sale between the college & the guy in Newcastle, then the invoice/receipt from him to me, I didn't get one but...

Re: Melvin the Mev Mevster
So the fun begins, I actually filled in the forms on the web a few days ago, they want the forms signing, but claim that just typing in your name in the signature box is enough which I'm sure I did. First problem they tell me that I didn't fill it in although I'm sure I did, as I have no printer I ...

Re: Melvin the Mev Mevster
Forms filled in & submitted, hopefully with the waiting list I'm hoping I'll get late Feb, early March, although I'm booked for a trackday on the 11th March so the week after that would work out perfect.

Could recommend one though, would be no problem if it was at the back of the house but on the drive it was a no no. I've found one like I used to use for Bumble, but annoyingly it's more expensive & I suspect poorer quality

Re: Melvin the Mev Mevster
Managed another couple of hours today, virtually finished removing the wires, what's left now has to stay, some are too long, next thing to decide is do I shorten them or just wrap them up out of the way. The only real bummer is now I've been running the engine I've found it has an oil leak, yep yo...
