I am going to change the discs for grooved and drilled ones and yellow stuff pads to see if I can improve on the pedal feel

Doubt pads will help the feel, it's more likely to be air in the lines, or check the rubber on the flexible hoses.

The brake lines are made out of pvc/plastic,bought a new master cylinder, repodercoated box and pedals, but wondering if I should change to solid brake lines as well as new pads, the calipers look to be operating ok.

The buggy has sketchy brakes.... light front end does not help...
