Re: Wheel Nut / Castle(?) Nut
no special tool if needed if youve got the split pin out and soaked it in WD40!!

Re: Wheel Nut / Castle(?) Nut
thanks Guys
i found it's easier to remove if the wheel is on and on the ground, not jacked up !!!!!
i've removed the cv axle / cv joint / half shaft / drive shaft (what is it actually called?!?!?!)
but got no idea where to go about looking for a new one...attached is a couple of pics if anyone can help at all i would much appreciate, cheers

It looked like a LH thread to me, bu that was only from the photo, you could try these guys https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/j_r2006?_trk ... 7675.l2559 I doubt they will have one on the shelf but they might be able to recondition it.
Re: Wheel Nut / Castle(?) Nut
Yer he sells loads of drive shafts on ebay and if you send him a msg he will get straight back to you. Not bad costs either.

Re: Wheel Nut / Castle(?) Nut
The team at J&R seem to only cater for the standard stuff "its for a golf!" kind of thing if you strip the CV's off the shaft and check the splines (i.e number of) you might find that the CV's are standard off the shelf parts - its just a case of matching internal and external spline sizes and numbers (however thats a pain too as im finding out now)
