Danny or Alan will probably know the history of this one.

Sorry if someone has already covered this!
I felt pretty defeated when the government announced it was planning to bring in modern mot emissions standards for all new vehicles to go through the IVA.
I remember reading a lot about the proposals and consultation period, but never saw anything...

It looks similar to the onyx tomcat or freestyle. I wonder if it's related.

Alan, were you responsible for starting this? I remember you had a project like this with a 1.4 k series before you even had mr bumble.

I've just spotted Simon's wife in the buggy in the centre of Towcester! I was just coming back from milton keynes with my cousins and waiting at the traffic lights at the Saracen's head a little blue buggy shot accross in front of us! Nice little surprise :)
Hi guys!
I called up R&R Alloys last night as i wanted a custom sized JBW Minilite and was worried that it would take too long to be ready for Stoneleigh. David at R&R was incredibly helpful and worked out what offset I needed even though i was pretty incompetent with all the wheel jargon :P He...
Just had a worrying thought for IVA. What classifies the difference between a windscreen and the clear plastic fly screens found on quite a few freestyles? I don't want to find out that I need de-misters and windscreen wipers if the screen i make is too big or in the wrong place etc. I can't...
Hi folks!
Just had a visit from the nuisance noise officer. My grumpy old fart neighbors have complained about my noise levels making the buggy. The angle grinder admittedly has been loud and on a lot recently, but i've been on my school holidays trying to crack on with the build as much as...
I was down near Towcester this weekend staying with some family and going to the Silverstone Classic, and on the Saturday morning, whilst going for a spin in one of them fancy new Mclarens, I saw Simon driving on the other side of the dual carriage way in his buggy. I saw it and thought that it...
There's not much to refurbishing mini parts :) Just clean and de-rust everything as thoroughly as possible then ad a nice thick coat of hammerite or some paint similar. Also when buying parts for refurbing bits and bobs, the supplier i would recommend would be minispares. Top quality service and...
Finally got the motivation i really need to finish the buggy. I passed my driving test today with only one fault. Well chuffed. Will be seeing you at Stoneleigh!

Isn't that one from on here??
Hi chaps,
Has anyone fitted a sump guard to their buggy? Just wondering if it clears the umbrella gear linkage alright. If anyone has, what make have you used, did you have to modify it to fit, and have you got any pictures?
Thanks,
Max
