I have been a member of this forum for quite a while and have watched with interest and envy (more of the second) as other projects have come on and been developed.
Unfortunately I am not able to complete mine - children! And is therefore up for sale.
This is a Mini based car that I bought as a bit of a basket case and basically refurbished or replaced all of the parts as well as having the body panels powder coated. The frame is hammerite (handy for touch ups!)
The engine is a 1275cc that has been bored with 40 thou oversized pistons, I think that makes it a 1310cc (?), a Longman 37/36 head and a Kent 276 cam. The diff has been changed for better acceleration but the ratio escapes me (the other one is available)
The running gear is discs at the front with coil overs and drums at the back on the mini subframe but with hi-lows.
There are wheel arches but I don’t have the skill to make brackets.
It is currently in a state where it requires finishing by way of nuts tightening and the electrics need tweaking but everything is there.
As you may have noticed it is registered and I do have the V5, which it came with.
