Chassis modification from left to right

I,m toying with the idea of changing the plate at the rear of the chassis from the left to the right of the chassis ( the plate with the 3 holes which the wiring and brake pipes run through)

It seems to me since the brake pipes now come off the master cylinder on the drivers side they could take a more direct route by staying on the right.

Will there be any issues with premier wirings harness choosing this route?

Anyone come up with a reason why this wouldn't work?

Seems to me to be a logical thing to do, instead of moving the plate why not just drill holes at the offside & take wires/pipes etc. down both sides, gets quite cramped down just one side. One thing that was pointed out to me after I'd done mine was why take them down on the floor, why not run them on the top rail on the offside.

On my chassis, Dave had put the holes on both sides, 1 small modification to the firewall was all that was required.
I'm using trunking to feed the electrics down the passenger side and Brake/clutch pipes down drivers side.
