Hi,

will my boss pass as "collapsable" ? Looks similar design to Esdebe's but not sure. Picture on my blog.

Also will the "mini" bumber bar / tube being modelled by my dad keep the SVA man away from the suspension arms etc.

Thanks

The boss looks okay, just make sure the SVA guy cannot pull the cowling off this is a picture of mine https://www.plminishop.com/view_product ... AID&page=1 I thought your dada said you were going with the padded steering wheel? If that's the case you don't need a collaspable bodd, it's one or the other.

As for the bumper/nerf/SVAfoiler, it must be turned in at the end, there's not a measure ment but it must bend backwards & all radii have to be greater than the dreaded 2.5mm

Just to add:

Yes that's a collapsible boss.

The bumber must also be man enough for the job. No spec, but if they decide it's an attempted workaround to the radius checks without actually being being strong enough they will check anyway. Bit of a can'o'worms really.

Glad that it looks like a collapsable boss, I thought it was but was,nt sure. We have a Mountney steering wheel with metal spokes so need to fit the rubber SVA pad over the centre to cover the sharp edges on the spokes. Will post a picture on the blog later.

Still in two minds about what to do re bumber bars etc. will have another look tonight.

Padded or collapsable is down to the SVA mans interpretation of the rules, mine said that the wheel I had was padded but paddind on its own wouldn't provide enought protection and he wanted to see something that would take the impact for the OUTER colum.
