Dazon 1100cc Gear Box Question

Hi, I am new to this forum so please bear with me, i have had a couple of ATVs and recently purchased a Dazon 1100 Superbyke Raider what ever they are known as. I appear to have an issue with 3rd gear.... this is as follow: If i change up the gears its fine! when i change down from 5th or 4th it wont go in to 3rd (its as though the syncro isnt lining up) there is no noise no grinding! if i pretend to go in to 2nd and keep the clutch down i am then able to put in 3rd as normal..... what is this all about?

Any help would be much appreciated.
