Hi Guys, last week we managed to get to my donor engine and quickly discovered that in contrast to what the seller told me, it's a Verto clutch (we thought it was non verto cos someone had fitted another plate on there with a long arm, the original was in the box of bits thankfully!)
The engine has clearly done more than the 4000 miles which I was told when I bought it since the clutch is almost completely worn down.
Final the oil seal for the Primary shaft was knackered and oil had splattered into the clutch case!
We think it's a Metro engine but can't be sure and it's unfortunately not on the V5 (yet) is there any way I can trace the engines history to give me an idea what year and maybe approximate mileage etc etc?
