Hi looking for advice on build and engines.

we are looking at a Kseries build as we need the vehical to be 2001 or younger for a 10,000 mile rally to Mongolia. The vehical will be left there to be auctioned for charity so we are looking at cheap build, endurance not speed but also capable on rough roads and the Gobi desert.

Feel free to give any negative and positive advice.

Cheers

sorry only just seen this one,

mongolia   thats way way to far away for me, thats even further than coventry so count me out,
got any pics of the roads over there ? l would think that you need more suspension travel than the mini/metro set up is going to give ??  how about using a diesel out of a metro ?  be a long way between fill ups,
if l was doing this l would biuld a buggy from scratch with long range tanks and longer travel suspension, more protection for the occupents, more storage etc etc, be an intresting project from scratch

Hi we are looking at a mg zr now, without build. The Freestyle would be the tool as most is on asphalt and compacted mud roads, but it looks like we can't do this without the vehical plus engine being 2001 or younger and since most use a mini a series it's out.
If any body is still interested in giving advice please add or anyone looking to get rid of a freestyle thats 2001  or younger mail us, the start is July at Goodwood
