extra Water Pump

Hello,

Right I am planning on putting a heater matrix at the fron of the buggy and have my doubts whether the standard mini water pump will be able pump all the extra water, so I was thinking of and extra electric water pump.

What do you guys think??

Hi Dan,

The standard pump is perfectly adequate to pump up to a front matrix.

Go for a pump with a cast iron impellor. The pressed steel impellor dosen't pump as efficently.

Try to incorperate a bleed screw or something like it near the heater matrix to aid bleeding air out. I used a motorbike radiator and cooling fan. The radiator had a radiator cap on it which just needed to be cracked open slightly to expell any air.

This set-up keeps the engine cooler even with out the fan running, and keeps toes warm when it is running

I have actually got a MG midget water pump I think it was the upgrade.

How is your radiator mounted?

did you just use rubber pipe to the front of your buggy?
