Danny,

Did you ever do anymore about group insurance? You mentioned it in a post on the old forum Here Only I need to sort some out, mind you I've been quoted £95 fully comp by the broker in that post, doubt I can get a better one. It sometimes helps to be an old git.

Hello,

Well, I was about to post about insurance because I need to start getting my buggy insured.

What companies are people using?

If people post them I will do a phone around

Oh dear,

My insurance quote this year is extortionate....

Graham sykes want over £500

Adrian Flux wanted about the same... bizzare cos if I remember I never paid that much.

I think I might go with a parts only insurer but whenever I ask people dont seem to know what I am on about.

Nybody use parts only and have numbers I can call... I need to be insured in the next week or so to be ready for stoneleigh.

I read something recently about one of the Kit Car Insurers, I think it was Adrian Flux, doing a combined insurance and breakdown cover.

I have read in magazines and on other sites about some of the mainstream breakdown associations being awkward with kit cars.

Does anyone use any of these breakdown services

Thanks

Thanks Danny that's good to know as whilst my aim is still to have the buggy on the road within the next couple of months my longer term goal is to go to Le Mans in it next year.

Whilst I can live without breakdown cover in this country I would want to have it abroad.

I was with the AA when I last went in my old kit car and thankfully didn't need their services but had just heard stories of some people having problems.

Just recieved a quote from Adrian Flux

34 yr old
Myself and Spouse
4 yrs NCD
Fully Comprehensive
10000 miles P.A.

  1. Basic Annual quote £219 with £25 admin fee included

Optional Extra personal accident and road rage cover for yourself and passengers £14 :?

Optional - Platinum Breakdown Cover [Includes : UK & European Roadside Assistance,UK & European Vehicle Recovery, Home Start, Caravan and Trailer Service. £45

seems reasonable I did ask about parts only cover and they no longer do it. :D
