Keeping Aluminium Blocks shiney

Hiya

I am looking at ways to make the aluminium block shiny and how do you keep it polished?

I am a way off this yet but still something I want to look at doing...

Either Polish it with autosol every week or cover it with high temperature lacquer. Note the high temp lacquer doesn't cope on exhausts, but i imagine the block should be cool enough

You will need a few cans i imagine. Took a couple to do my exhaust, which has now all come off :

Even then, it'll probably come off ally without a decent key/primer first.

You may however, get away with an epoxy clearcoat, which should bond without a primer, but they do tend to yellow with age.
