No V5 :(

Hi guys,

Has anyone had any experiance of building a car from a doner but not having a V5 to go with it?

My beloved Mini was declared as scrap before I had even thought about making it into a kit... you've no idea how much of an idiot I feel now reading through the posts on here regarding VOSA. Regardless, i'm building a Freestyle anyway :)

Any hints as to what hoops I need to jump through to get the thing road legal would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Rich

Hi,

Not having the V5 should not present any major problems other than 1. proof of engine age for the SVA emmissions test and 2. You will end up with a Q registration plate.

Hi,

The Q reg thing isn't a problem, I expected that anyway.

I have all the other documentation as it was my car that I used for 3 years (MOT and insurance certificates etc.) would there be anything in there that I could use as proof?

Wait a second... I'm digging throught the folder of papers as I type this and have found the original V5 (old fashioned style) that came with the car - it was the V5C that I sent back!
Wil this do?

Cheers,
Rich
