hi all my first buggy is currently being built and is really taking shape nice. a quad chopped in half and a frame fabed up between, the rear end that i dubbed the "engine unit" was heavily modified so that the hole unit serves as one giant swingarm. the solid axle and sprocket solved many problems but made its fair share to.
as this is just the mk1 my thoughts are on the mk2 with independant rear suspension cv's all that jazz. but as i dont have a lathe or tonnes of cash im trying to think of parts that will "fit" together lets say front running gear of a honda big red diff, drive shafts, hubs,A arms. then marry them up to say a BMW bike engine shaft drive but this may blow the diff.
plan B is a chain drive engine to a sprocket on a CV axle but the problem is i cant think of any quads that have independant rear suspension powered by chain and sprockets.
does anyone have an idea on how to combine parts together to make an independant rear end powered by chain or shaft ???
