this one is for jerry could you please tell me where you got the speedo cable made up for my buggy as it as never worked i've check it today and the inner as broken cheer's ray the black buggy

I have one if you want to buy it... I had original speedo until I changed engine and needed to get one I could calibrate, now I have a spare cable..... It was from speedy cables.

Hi Ray,
I got the cable from speedy cables, but you may be able to buy just the inner from them, which will be cheaper. If the break is on the inner on a straight run, then you may be able to tack it back together with a welder, to get it working.(this will prove the spedo head is working ok.) I think the cable length was 10 foot long.

jerry hope you did not think i was saying speedo has never worked . I meant speedo never worked from when i bought it of my boss. ray

Ray,

I'd have been suprised if the speedo did actually still work nowerdays. It got filled with muddy water on many a happy jaunt when i had it!
The speedo cable gave up the fight for life early in the buggys history, as i had routed it just where passengers thought it would be a good idea to wedge their feet, so a quick reroute, a tack of weld on the inner, and the cable was good as new.

The speedo was callibrated for 185/70-13 m&s colways, running a 3.1/1 diff ratio, though this was changed to a 3.9/1 when the 1275 engine fell in.
