Standard MIGin when the bottle has run out?

I'm going through TIG learning so I'll be careful what I comment about other peoples welds!

So far I have found it slow, boring and impractical.... I keep thinking, the MIG would be done ages ago!

Oh I see...

I thought that suspension was tampered with before you did

OK a few more pics...

First, spent a considerable about of time lining up everything for a more comfortable seating postion - but as you know the controls are a bit skewed..

but then decided I'd cut more out first... add some tabs and an alloy floor with some mouldy old treadplate I had.

Getting ancy waiting on bits.... i got grinder happy

And added some bracing for the next job....

along with these feet

Meaning I can get the whole thing nice and level

The next job is hi risk lo reward..... ;D ;D

OK the post fucked me over so I skipped that job....

Thanks to JP cages for the new 44.45x 2.65mm RPTP510 CDS/

I used a bit of 8mm rod to position it

The hoop I cut out was 6.2KG and the new is 2KG more ! 30% increase! need to diet else where

New seat mounts, kind of getting there. will add some bracing too.

I moved the driver a little closer to the middle and the passenger a little closer to the side to make the controls marginally more comfortable

Also lower centre of gravity tank location..... ???

I'm beginning to understand why people build chassis from shs!!

Anyway, chipping away, motor is level and almost in after about 4 days of measuring and adjusting

using my method of "dangling"

I have prototype upper and lower arms, mounted mounts, protoype hubs, prototype pushrods, prototype rockers and i might have shocks arriving tomorrow!
