I brought a quadzilla rl300. It had a knocking noise coming from gear box. It has now locked up so both wheels won't turn. How easy is it to remove the gearbox does anyone have links or no where I can get another box from.
Did you find anywhere that do the parts? I have just bought a 2008 Quadzilla RL300 and it conked out, made a bang noise that could have been a misfire but fear the worst as it wont start. It seems like the starter is trying to turn the engine over, but either the gear box/clutch has stuck on or the engine has seized. I am getting a friend to look at it but cant seem to find parts anywhere and quadzilla were not much help because the buggy was discontinued in 2012.
Does anyone have a donor buggy or any parts for one of these or advice on what to do? If I end up having to replace the engine and cvt unit I will but I can seem to find any information about it? I have read somewhere that cfmoto made the engines but also that buyang did so am really unsure? anyone know for sure and more to the point does anyone know where i can get a replacement engine that would fit the chasis if required without having to modify it?
Mate TBH put it on eBay and sell as a project, those cheap Chinese buggies are to be avoided for just the reason you can't get the spares
We all have Freestyle buggies, the engine and running gear was based on a classic mini. Parts are available and depending on your fabrication skills or who you know you can swap the mini engine out to something a bit more powerful.
Trust me I know I had a Chinese buggy. They seem like fun but if you can't get the bits, not much fun.
