Hello simon,

What set up did we decide was best for doing the back? I looking at buying the suspension componants over the weekend ready for rebuilding the subframe while the chassis is in the paint shop.

Cheers

I can't say weather they are best or not, but for my maily road use I have gone for:-

Standard rubber donughts.
Adjustable high-lows http://www.minispeed.co.uk/classic/inde ... &id=hylowf
Adjustable bottom arms and tiebars
http://www.minispares-online.co.uk/?cat ... rod_id=161
(I used this kit as it comes with all the polly bushes, although do don't need the two camber brakets for the rear suspension, it still works out a lot cheeper... but you may want to use them on your mini...)

Note you may need some new knuckle joints depending on how good you are at taking the old ones out and how worn they are, the easyest way to remove them from the old trumptes is to grip the trumpet in a vice, take a long thin metal rod put it on the base of the knuckle and wack it with a hammer....

I uses a length of 14M stud and a large washer a 14M nut and a pair of mole grips to make my cone compression tool.

Adjustable cones have two big nut shaped things on them... One to adjust the other to lock it in place, they are not cone shape... The link I sent shows what ajustbale ones look like the original cones are hollow ally ones the are "cone shape"
