14" Wheels

Hi, I'm looking for help with wheel fitments.

I need 14" wheels for the Freestyle.

Can anyone suggest what other vehicles used a 4" pcd?

Also any other clever ways of fitting other pcd wheels?

When you say clever......

Are wobble bolts and hubcentric wheel spacers "clever"?

or are they a bodge  ;D

The name "wobble" bolt says it all to me!

according to that website for checking PCD/wheel fitment there are only two mentioned that properly fit mini's 4x101.6mm P.C.D..... and no prizes for guessing the answer
A. Rover Mini, and 'Austin' Metro...... massive choice there then!

What is the safe tolerance for alternative wheels then? , as I see some are very close, at 4x100mm....

I see nothing wrong with a set of proper hubcentric spacer/pcd changers, however as the mini does not have a hubcentric flange then they are not ideal, although there are lots & lots of them on cars. Watson subframes make them to take the Mini PCD to the 100mm Metro/Honda PCD.

Yes I'd probably agree with you,

As long as Leepu hasnt been near them!

Anything that will go over 100mph with the name "wobble" and related to wheels.....

No thanks

.....in my opinion. though plenty of people do use them and I have never heard of any problems caused by them.

Thanks for all the replies.

I've got no idea what "wobble bolts" are.

How do they work? What do they do? and most important what wheels could I use with them?

basicly its a bolt that can move about at the top so it can adjust by a mm or 2 to accommodate slightly different pcd wheels

Oh - wait a second now - I'm being stupid, the Mini uses nuts doesn't it.....

I don't know if you can get wobble "nuts"....?
