I have about a grand to spend once the buggy goes, so obviously need something to replace it!

Must be IVA'd, or not need one, and must be fun!!!

As little welding as possible, but love mechanical and body work!

Any ideas other than the Sammio?

I've got one of these as my daily runner.  If you shop around (or a little lucky like I was) you can get a great little car

ps don't believe all the hype head gasket failures.  Yes they do go, but if you keep an eye on coolant levels and have a later type gasket fitted, they are lot more reliable.  Point to note is that if it has failed in the past it is vital to check the head for damage/alignment before you get it fixed else it will just be a weak point.

Preferably I'd like another kit car instead of a manufactured car! Plus I had an S1 Elise for 3 years, so would constantly be comparing the MG to that!

As for the robin.....  :-[ lol

I quite like the idea of just getting a convertable Herald and keeping it as it is!
