GS Moon 260 2009 engine swap

Hi,

Does anyone know how difficult it is to change the engine on a newer 2009 GSMoon 260. It has a shaft driven engine rather than the chain. This makes me think it will be more difficult to swap to a more powerful bike engine like a few people have done?

Thanks!

The Shaft driven nature is not a problem, You can get chain powered diffs with outputs for shafts... in fact most powerful bike engined buggies do that so they can make use of a LSD (limited slip differential). I reckon as long as you are half descent at fabricating then it shouldn't be too much hassle, as bike engines are as compact as a lot of the chinese buggy sorts.
Have a look at this thread for some inspiration: http://www.muddybuggies.com/Buggies-For ... 847.0.html
