KAD rear brakes

hi i am trying to drum up some interest in KAD (kent auto developments) adapting their mini rear disc setup to front disc hubs to give us a rear disc handbrake on the buggy, the painful bit is the price £650 but it works, is legal, lightweight and very shiny. if they get enough interest they say they will develop a kit but if it is a one off adaptaion it has a £150 surcharge which is why i am asking, if you fancy it ring them on 01303874082 and speak to colin

That's sounds awfully expense to me sorry, Mark Hask cage1380 has a set of Seirra calipers over Metro hubs & discs with some drop plates. This setup would come in nowhere near that cost.

Sorry too rich for me. As Alan suggests taking another production car rear caliper and making a suitable bracket is going to be a lot cheaper if you want discs.
If you want bling aluminium calipers Wilwood rears are going to be cheaper even after making a bracket.

Just seen these, no idea if they would be any use, but if they are standard MK4 Golf calipers it's a good starting point. http://www.blitzworld.co.uk/products.php?productId=231

Got to laugh at the prices they charge (£230 inc VAT a pair)

I believe these are the same calipers from Rallydesign £116.33 inc a pair.

While I don't mind small suppliers costing a little more than the big boys 100% is extracting the wossit. I've been told the Rally Design ones are 'slightly' less than buying direct from VAG mainstealers.

Though not as mad as their Blitz 1 A-series to K-series conversion parts kit
