Got my V11 through today to tell me Mary needs taxing at the end of the month. Thought I would just have a look to see if I can do it online, can't be done before the 15th anyway. Fills in the number & presses enter, it then asks me if I have an MOT certificate drat drat drat.So I rang DVLA to ask why a car first registered on 1/4/2007 (which the V5C nows states as they have had it back once) does it need an MOT. He looked into the system & told me that altough it was registered on 1/4/2007 it was on the system as being first manufactured on 1/8/1987. I explained that only some of the parts came from that car & the chassis was new. His advise was to take it to the local Post Office & tax it on the V5C & then send it in to be modified. So hopefully a result & n MOT's for another 2 1/2 years.
