On Mary I used copper & finished with braided, on Bumble I used braided all the way through, but it's actually harder to make neat bends with the braided stuff inside the cabin

To be honest i think i have some copper tube and the fixings lying about so i will prob get the 2 lines that are on show at the back of the buggy made in braided and do the rest in copper.

Am i right in thinking that the rear brakes connect to one of the master cylinder take offs and the front brakes to the other take off? If so what one goes where?

Yep that's right but as said you MUST get them the right way around

I've looked many a time in the Hayne's book of lies, but i've never ever ever come across anywhere that says which way round it is! Best do some googling! :)

I agree with Max!

It's like a tarts make up case!!

Jealousy is fantastic ;)
Now get back to it and bolt on some more engineering porn ::)

Haha. Thanks guys.

Wouldn't exactly call it engineering porn. More sort of bolted on shiney parts.

Im going to Autosport International next weekend so expect i will end up buying more toys for it. Im on the look out for a few parts but will prob end up buying more bits that i dont really need. Ha

Share your frustration with what to do with the buggy, I wanted to take Mr Bumble's subframe back off, clean it up & polybush it, but I have no garage at all, my son has commandeered it for his motorbikes. He, Mr Bumble, not my son currently resides under my fathers car port, but I can't work on him there, he's on a newly blocked paved drive & it's still outside, I'm getting too old to work outside in the cold

Yes its a nightmare isnt it. Once i have the house sorted i will have my own garage but thats a little way off yet. My brother has made it clear that i wont be putting the buggy in my parents garage so i guess im leaving it where it is i guess. Going to have to just stay late in the evenings i guess and try to get some work done.

Hey Jason,
I take it your brother is a lot bigger than you??
I'd have to come at him with "a sodding jet ski is meant to get wet, so it doesn't matter if it lived outside for a while!"
If he disagrees with that, then a swift kick in the knackers should do the trick!

I often think of you and Alan, when I'm messing with Mary in my nice warm garage, or the state of the art engineering workshop at work ;)
It's hard work turning down the central heating, its all computerised you know!!

Ha. He's not bigger than me but he's just an arse. To be honest im going to keep it at work as im going to start staying late a bit more to get it done.

Plus then i can think of you Steve while the cimputer controlled heating keeps me warm as im working on the buggy or cutting out some parts on the laser cutter.

Did think about it but wont help really.

Just need to crack on and get it finished really. Probably best for it to remain at work with all the tools and machinery i need really.

Best to keep it there, as long as it doesn't get you into trouble!

I'd need very long legs if I required to kick my brother, he lives near you in Whiteley :D

Doing well Jason, keep doing the little jobs and you'll be done in no time ;D

Looking good Jason! I like the idea of the side rail covers. How are you planning to fix them on?

Seeing your brake bias valve made me think of something I saw in the IVA manual . . . .

The man from VOSA":199tyz4w said:
Note 4: Hydraulic valves that only operate automatically and react to vehicle loading or braking forces are permitted (Load Sensing and Gravity valves) Manually adjusted valves (other than to permit presetting the automatic function of a valve) are not permitted to be fitted even if they are rendered un-adjustable.

Might be worth having a little pipe to replace the bias valve for the test. ;)

That's new I was going to put that it needs to be locked off & non-adjustable from the drivers seat, but clearly they have now gone further
