Freestyle Revisited

So, after about 15 years (yes, I know! 😄) I decided to try and finally complete the project I bought after my Mini bit the dust.
It was in a state from being sat for so long so I decided to strip it down and almost start again in August last year.

I have been taking photos as I've been going along but have been really bad at uploading them so here is a random selection from the past 8 months.

Cheers!
Rick

Welcome, keep at it, sightly harder to get through the IVA than the SVA if you had done it 15 years old lol, but still doable, have you downloaded the IVA manual?

Hi, thanks!

Yeah, would have been great to get it on the road back then but life gets in the way sometimes.
To be fair I have done some things better this time so it'll be more robust for it.

Yes, I have the manual thanks.
A lot to take in but trying to bear it in mind as I'm going through.

Looking really nice, ditch those front shocks for the adjustable dampers. It will be undrivable otherwise and easier to do now. The ride is far too harsh otherwise, every bump in the road wants to knock your teeth out and jar your back, believe me I know! Make sure you use new donuts for the rear also. Part numbers and pics all detailed on the forum.

Don't forget to wrap all your wires in plastic conduit for mechanical protection.

I see what you're saying about the front suspension, I do like the idea of the adjustable dampers but on the basis its more or less back together now I'll get it on the road and look at upgrades later - I'm hoping it will be an ongoing project once its roadworthy!

I've took a delivery of conduit from CBS last week, that's this weekend's job hopefully!
