Front track rod ends

I'd feel a lot safer if there was an alternative to the mini sport "longer" track rod ends (for rhe front of my buggy). Not too happy with the lack of thread its gripping on to !

Could be done with something longer than the so called mini longer alternative

Anyone know of any "even longer" definitive alternatives ?

I can't remember which track rod ends I used that were the longer type, as I've put before Triumph Herald springs to mind, but Ford Cortina is in there as well. Basically they are 1/2" UNF so if you know a good motor factors they will have a catalogue with all the specifications in, if I get time, but not sure when I'll go see mine they are very helpful.

But as an aside 1/2" UNF has 16 threads per inch, the maximum strength that can be achieved with a 1/2" thread is when it is 1/2" into the nut/trackrod, anymore than that & you get no more benefit. So as long as you have at least 8 full turns on your trackrod you are getting maximum security & strength, anymore is just a confidence thing.
