Hi all,

I've been looking for a site like this for ages!

I've not long bought a Dazon 1100, but it's blown a massive hole in my wallet! So the story is, I'm a wheelchair user. So I had to have an automatic! I put a Suzuki Swift 1.3 engine in, with an auto box. Tell you some more again, I'm off to sleep, but I had to write something on here, i'm that excited about finding the site. Will try and upload some pics and give a bit more detail tomorrow. Cheers guys brill site, speak soon....

;D

Hi and welcome, that suzuki engines fits in well, :) dose it have a front bonnet or you get the full force sort of thing, sure I've seen them with like nylon material bonnets and side panels, nice buggy 8)

Good choice of engines, bet it gives a few people a shock away from lights.

Cheers Andy,

Yeah you can get them but the company that provides all the products are really poor, and expensive. They wanted near £300 for them. I'm getting alluminium bonnet and sides put on it this weekend. It's still on going, got a fair bit to do yet.

Can anyone help? The Swift was doing a 110 in the car, I can only get 80 out of her at the mo. I would've thought she'd go quicker now. Any suggestions? The wheelsI know may have made a difference, they were prob 13's on the swift now their something like 17's on the buggy. I got the work done by a mate and fair play I'm pretty chuffed with the outcome she runs pretty good. Was going to take it to a gearbox and modifications specialist but it's gonna be costly again...

Would appreciate any suggestions/ feedback etc, I'm based in south wales.

Thanks

Hi Alan,

Yeah it's pretty quick although I don't think it's quite right. It's because it's auto that's causing me the problems. Sometimes it seems to change up to early and goes flat, then sometimes I think it even changes up two gears :-\

Do you know of anything or anyone that would be pretty good at sorting this kind of thing?

Thanks Alan, yeah overall i'm well happy with it, so much fun and freedom ;D

robbie2red - great looking machine - i looked at a Superbyke RRI (basically the same machine) before starting building mine (If you take a look at the front of my chassis it looks very similar only bigger ;D Im running a 1.0litre swift engine in mine although from what I understand the 1.3 should bolt onto my gearbox (which I will do if mine struggles!!)

Anyway great machine and welcome to the board

Thanks all.

Brilliant weather for the buggy! It seems to be going pretty well. Been out every evening pretty much this week. Well happy about finding this site. Going to look in some other discussions, would like to get involved in some of the meets etc, being down in Brecon Mid-Wales, any guys near know of places to go/meet/ any guys near? Also any info on tuning my automatic? (seems to be changing to quick from 3rd into 4th then going flat?)

hi rob
nice looking buggy you have there, cant say l have ever really looked at those that hard but yours seems to have a nice stance to it, maybe its the size of the wheels tyres but it looks purposefull lol
good choice of engine l have had a lot of suzuki powered stuff mainly 4 wheel drive stuff, 1300cc sounds a bit on the small side for an auto box as they thrive on torque but you have plenty of options when the thirst for more power takes over lol, the balano is the essentially the same block but with options of 1600, 1800 and 2000 auto's

cheers Andy

Nice looking conversion :) I've heard many people thought the original 1100 was a bit under powered, but i bet the 1.3 swift engine is more than adequate now :p
