Road legal in the rep of ireland

Hey,
I was just wandering does anyone know if the funbuggies are legal to drive on the roads in the republic of ireland?

Truthful answer Barry, don't know, but I see no reason why they should not be as they are a legal road going vehicle in the UK, we were looking at our annual road trip to come over to Eire doing the Fishguard - Rossiare & coming back Dublin - Holyhead. But it is expensive & time is an issue, but it maybe on the cards one day.

If the car is road legal and registered in the UK then there is no reason why it wont be legal.

There was one built for sweden I think that was built over here and registered over here then was taken over there :) No problems :)

That is not a road legal one yet....

but still I am sure ireland will be ok with kit cars :)

Yeah that was what i feared! My friend has a beetle beach buggy on the road and becouse its nct (mot in the uk) and tax excempt he just registered it as the beetle and no questions were asked. But im not so sure its legal to do this :-\
