Oh dear!

The route will change from day to day I think due to the fact that I cant read a map :)

Stop hi-jacking the thread Danny I think Steve was talking about our route, you know the one that the thread is about, but we're not going through Birmingham just Simon ran out of way points, we'll miss Birmingham out completely.

I was on about the Wales run, I have also looked at Danny's route and that is fine, he is only a couple of miles from my house at one stage.

Folks, Not sure if anybody other than Simon, Steve & myself will be effected but we have pulled the run forward 1 day, now starting Wednesday 1st August & ending Saturday 4th August, my daughter has arranged a family party on the 4th as it's my grandson's 1st birthday I apparently have to make an appearance.

Hi Guys,

OK, the route from the north of wales to the south will remain the same, however the last leg back to a yet to be decided end point will change, as I ran out of way points..

We need to break it down into legs, and find camp sites to stay at...

Not sure how soon I'll get to do this but will post on here as soon as it is done.

How many miles do people feel happy to do each day?

Regards

Simon

Colin,

Away this weekend but will finalise the overnight stops early next week, then once we know the campsites or if the rain continues hotels then the route can be finalised. I figure somewhere near Denigh for the first night

Guys

Should have Dibble on the road in the next week, so I'd like to join you for some of this run if there's space. Can't make the full 4 days sadly, work commitments, diving commitments... and that other thing... oh yeah family... all have to fit in somewhere.

Taking a look at the route, I wonder how you'd feel about me joining you in Chester. Don't know when you plan to get there but i'm guessing sometime on day 1 if you're driving 4-5 hours per day. My thoughts are that I could do the rest of day 1 and day 2 around North Wales with you all...and then make my merry way back.

Have a think and let me know if it could work... it would be nice to catch up.

I see no problem with that Matt, in fact it might work out quite well as Colin is Chester based, so maybe the first day we venture a little more to the East & stay over night nearish to Chester & then set-off from there. I'll try to get with Routmaster Simon choose some campsites & then finalise the route.

Alan...
as a complete aside you still haven't got the SV650 which you fancy putting out on loan for a couple of months do you?

Great.. let me know what you all agree.

Re the Suzuki.. yeah I've still got it, and yeah you could have it for as long as you need it. Only thing is it's been SORN for a good few years.. ever since i got the Blackbird in fact. Brakes would need a strip down as a min. Needs MOT/TAX/INS... tyres are okay as i remember. What d'ya need it for?

Alan,

How do i put this.
Photos can be deceiving, camp-site was derelict till 2010 then the Irish fraternity bought it.
Always busy now to say the least.
If you need camp-site local give me a call if you want me to help.

I may be going soft, but the sound of B&B is starting to look good. I can't trust the 5 day weather forecast, never mind what it is going to be in a few weeks time.
I am happy to throw the tent up each night OR stay in a warm, dry comfy bed, with someone else cooking breakfast and washing up after us.
