Well seeing as its my birthday today, I decided to do a half day at work and finish at 12.

I went home and started doing some work on the buggy!

Although I have someone coming to view the buggy monday im not going to let it stop me working on it, so today I fitted the engine!!!

After a couple of hours fitting an engine on my own with no lifting gear I ended up with this!!!

So seeing as I managed to some how fit the engine, I decided I ought to roll the old boy out and have a clear up of the garage...

I decided I want as many buggy parts out the way as possible, so heres something you dont see very often.....

Thought I'd put up a quick house update as im getting all green eyed looking at everyones buggy updates!

As my little girl seems to be growing up, the amount of stuff she has seems to be growing outwards meaning our 2 bed terraced house is no longer big enough!

I bought the house in April 07 just before the recession kicked in, but luckily I got it at a good price as it needed lots of work!

Being a self employed carpenter I've put off doing the work for years and years, but as we need to move something had to be done!

All 3 of us moved in with our parents for 5 weeks, which meant long days for me, and many late nights working on the house to get it finished!!!

Heres a couple of pics before the work.....

The living room before.....

Finished...

We removed the fake beams, had the artexed ceilings skimmed, new carpet through out which continues up the stairs, on the landing and through to our bedroom.

The kitchen originally looked like this...

And nearly there!!

Again removed the fake beams, skimmed the ceiling, plumbed in a dish washer which will be going in the space on the left, installed an extractor fan and laid a good quality v groove oak effect laminate.

Its a B&Q kitchen, which I wasn't overly keen to install, but as I renovated the house to make a profit it came in over £1000 cheaper than the Magnet kitchen I wanted to install. Being a kitchen fitter, this was the hardest decision I made, but eventually the money side of things got the better of me! Looking at it now, that £1000 helps with the selling fees so cant complain too much!

Heres a quick snap of the bathroom which seems to be going on forever! Never again will I tile a bathroom myself!!!!!

And a quick snap of where the magic happens!!! Ah ha!!!

Rubys room was decorated a year ago just before she was born so we left that, but we had every ceiling in the house skimmed, also built the tv in under the stairs and the garden was also done early last year!

Managed to add £30k on the price of the house, and has cost me about £5k in materials and labour! (sparks, plumber and plasterer)

Cant wait to sell it now and get myself a nice sized garage with electricity!! :D

It only went on the bay as I had scheduled it before the fella come to look at it!

I would love a Sammio, but the cost of buying the fibreglass, and the Herald are too much for me at the moment!

Plan is to buy a Jago Geep that needs a bit of work, fix it/ tart it up a bit and sell it on for some profit! The ones that have been stodd for a couple of years seem to go for peanuts, where as a shabby one with an MOT seem to go for around a grand!

I actually went and had a look at this last night. Cant decide if it's worth £350 or not! The jago prices seem really odd! Some 'projects' go for £250, but you can buy a road worthy one for £600!

Had a look on premier looms and they do an escort rwd loom for £105 which I didn't think was too bad! To be honest, I'l probably stick a bid on it, and if I get it for £350 great, if not I'l have to wait!
