After cleaning the stuff off my frame to put new panels on, I absolutely hate the stuff. I had to use a very strong degreasent neat to make it easy and boy does that waxoyl stuff stink  ::)

Slowely chipping at the mountain :)

Went straight to B&Q after work and bought myself a nice pop rivet gun and a big set of rivets all ready to put teh floors back on!

Now im thinking I may buy some new chequer plate sheet and sticking 2 nice new floor panels in :)

Anyone have any idea on how much it would cost?

Danny, doesnt it leave loads of scratch marks?

Definitly donty fancy shelling out £190 on 2 new floor panels!!!

There not exactly brand new, but they look pretty decent!

Im sure their be just fine :)

Much better than spending out £160 on a couple of new ones anyways!!!

Do I just use a U bolt in these 2 holes here.....

You can just make out 2 red arrows at the top of the steering coloumn bracket!

Paint wasnt as prominant as I though lol

I was thinking I may get one of those shiny lowering brackets you can get for the Minis so its more in your lap...

Take it this will work?

There is normally a modified Escort MK3 (I think) steering bush which goes on the end of the cut-down column & then 2x U-Bolts holding it to the frame. I suspect you'll not need a lowering bracket as it sits quite low as it is & you may not be able to get in if it's any lower.

better braking and the pedals bend the normal way as opposed to when they are on the floor
