It's the lower bush you'd need, maybe the one on the right in this pic?

Found on ebay in the link below?

Then you'd need to fabricate one of these:

No updates as of late, but ive been mega busy sorting the house and family!!!

Rubys now 13 weeks old, so hopefully after xmas I can get back into the buggy!

Only problem is now is that im starting to replace parts and put bits back on the car which all costs money!

Seems to be going in one hand and straight out the other at the mo!

Just thought I'd drop a line so you all know I havent given up! :)

Garage is clear, buggys now sat on some carpet to keep my skinny arse warm, and im now fully up for starting work on the old boy again!!!

Hopefully next week I shall have a couple of small parts to fit. My aim is to have him up on his wheels this summer, ready to be wired and fired next summer!!!

Looking forward to getting back into this project!! :)

Didn't realise you decided to call you buggy "The Old Boy"??  :p

It makes perfect sense, as I can now say to the Mrs.... 'just nipping out to the garage to play with my old boy'!

On another note, I did order some longer tie rod ends last night, so hopefully their be here tomorrow!

Think next up is the rubbers for the front hubs, then I can concentrate on painting them, and getting them bolted up! :)

I wondered why I got slapped when I said "I'm going out to play with MARY!"
I can't understand how that old woman can get away with playing with her organ, and in church of all places ;D

The rubbers are now sorted! A trader on TMF sells them for 60p each! :)

Hopefully this means next week I can get the front suspension all bolted up! Yay!!!

May even give the hubs a quick lick and slap on the wheels!!!!!  ;D

On the bottom arms yes they are tight to get the bolt in, I think I ended up extending the arm with a bar to force the bushes. Put the bolt in from the top, just in case the nut ever came that way the bolt can't fall out.

On the shocks you're right, the shocks need to be in the middle with washer spacers either side. You may also may need to remove the sleeves on the shocks, mine squeaked like made as they rubbed on the springs.

Anyone got their nose cone off to take pictures for Bruce?

Only one I can find is one which I think is from the build manual

Lot's of pictures on  my build thread, don't know if any will help?
http://www.muddybuggies.com/Buggies-Forum/index.php/topic,879.0.html

I remember the bottom arm also being a problem for me, I was afraid of damaging the rubbers, I think I prized the gap open a little bit and used lots of fairy liquid, but granted it is a tight squeeze,

I packed my shock absorbers with washers and extended the holes slightly, bit of trial and error to ensure all sat right.

Alex, I noticed you have adjustable lower suspension arms....

Is this vital for either the front or the back?

And will any old washers do for the front shock absorbers or can I get something a bit more 'solid'? Plus loads of washers will look a bit shabby will it not?

I used adjustable bottom arms because I saw what you see now on yours.  I think it was Esdebe that told me to cut these down by 10mm to make it all fit correctly? Will see if I can find the info?
Any old Steel washer will do as ling as they all have the same internal diameter!

As long as your brackets don't bend/flex then they should be okay there, not seen anyone else put them that high up, but don't see any issues.

As to length of cable, you haven't got your brackets on the rear,

These are mine that were fitted to Mary, the top 2 are as they come, the bottom 3 were the modification I had to do to strengthen them after SVA fail as they were flexing.

Cheers for the heads up chaps!

Just about to go out side now and see if I can get them on temporarily as im sure it will all have to come off again once the engine goes in!!!

Just trying to get it back together as much as possible, as im building the bloody thing without a manual!!! Or one thats any good anyways!!!

Don't think you were alone there, it comes in handy as a Coffee coaster, when reading the forum.

lol, in all honesty I have used it a couple of times, but mainly to see in what order I build it!

I managed to get the handbrake cable routed, although the brackets down the center channel flex. I fact the whole center channel flexes! Do I need to put a bolt through the 2 welded nuts, or does something else go in there?

I also put on the front wheel arch brackets earlier just to get an idea on how they look..... I don't think I like them but the fiberglass can wait! May even put on the big arse over the weekend so I can have a chuckle at the uglyness!!!!
